B&R Stores, Inc. Announces Acquisition of Family Fare Location in Beatrice, Nebraska

Lincoln, Neb. – April 7, 2026

B&R Stores, Inc. today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the Family Fare store located at 1815 Court St. in Beatrice, Nebraska, from SpartanNash. The transaction is expected to close on April 30, 2026.

Following the acquisition, the store will undergo renovations in the coming months and will be converted to a Russ’s Market. The company plans to retain the current leadership team, with Family Fare Store Director Josh Gilbert continuing in his role as Store Director under the Russ’s Market banner.

B&R Stores also intends to interview all current employees and aims to offer positions to bring them onboard as part of the transition.

The company currently operates another Russ’s Market location in Beatrice and plans to continue operating both stores to serve the community.
