Russ’s Market to Consolidate Beatrice Locations at Newly Remodeled Store
Beatrice, Neb. – September 3, 2026
B&R Stores, Inc. announced today that it will consolidate its two Russ’s Market locations in Beatrice, bringing associates and operations together at the newly remodeled store at 1815 Court Street.
The original Russ’s Market, located at 1300 Court Street, will close at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29. All associates from the original location will be offered the opportunity to continue working for Russ’s Market, joining the team at the larger 1815 Court Street store.
B&R Stores acquired the 1815 Court Street location in April and has spent the past several months remodeling and converting the former Family Fare store into a Russ’s Market. At approximately twice the size of the original Beatrice location, the store provides the space needed to offer customers a broader selection of products along with an improved shopping experience.

By bringing our two teams together in one larger store, we believe we can provide an even better experience for our customers while keeping the people who have made both locations successful.”
The remodeled 1815 Court Street Russ’s Market features expanded product variety throughout the store, new energy-efficient refrigerated and frozen cases, a larger meat department and an expanded liquor department. New equipment has also been installed in the bakery and deli departments.
Additional improvements include a redesigned layout that provides better traffic flow throughout the store and new self-checkout options for customers.
“The larger store gives us an opportunity to offer more variety and make shopping easier and more convenient,” Kelso said. “We appreciate the support Beatrice has given Russ’s Market over the years, and we look forward to continuing to serve the community with a great team and an improved store.”
Customers who have shopped at the 1300 Court Street Russ’s Market can expect to see many of the same familiar faces when they visit the 1815 Court Street location.
Following the September 29 closing, B&R Stores plans to market the 1300 Court Street property for sale or lease.
